Gothic style lesson focusing on Frankenstein’s monster. Includes a starter activity where students create their own monster by each designing a different body part. Lesson is differentiated using aim/challenge/super challenge and the GCSE mark scheme. Aimed at KS3 but can be used for older students. Planned using the TEEP model.

Lesson asks students to choose a door to another world (Hogwarts, Narnia, Neverland, Wonderland and Middle Earth.) They then plan the opening and eventually go on to produce a piece of creative writing describing their journey to this other world. Differentiated using aim/challenge/super challenge. A fun lesson introducing students to the language of Shakespeare. Includes a glossary for students to use to translate. Students translate Shakespearean words into modern English and vice versa. Lesson is aimed at getting students interested in the news by making it fun and interesting. Lesson asks students to think about the way they can access the news and why news is important. Students then watch and discuss the news before writing and presenting their own news report on a current topic. Aimed at KS3 students but can easily be adapted to suit older students. Differentiated using the GCSE mark scheme and aim/challenge/super challenge.
